MIDDLETOWN — After being shutout last weekend by Strath Haven, Penncrest could’ve spent the week feeling bad for itself.
Not this time, and not under Lions head coach Paul Graham.
Penncrest used a disciplined effort and a crafty mix of run and pass to keep Haverford off balance and shock the Fords, 20-13.
After last week’s loss to Strath Haven, this was exactly the kind of resilience that Graham wanted to see.
“It’s a testament to our guys. They’re a great group, they stick together, and last week was tough,” Graham said. “We didn’t put our best foot forward last week. Not to take away anything from Strath Haven, they’re a heck of a football team, but we didn’t play as well as we could have. We emphasized improving all week and the kids bought in.
