BANGOR -- The Bangor Rams picked up a win over the Deering Rams to open the 2025 season 21-0.

Kyle Johnson opened the scoring with a goal line QB-keeper to make it 7-0 Bangor.

In the second quarter, Johnson connected with Zac Cota for a pass over the middle to make it a 13-0 game.

On the ensuing kickoff, Deering's Joey Foley is on his way to take the kickoff return all the way for a touchdown, until Bangor's Gavin Hughes hawked him down to prevent the score, which proved to be crucial.

On that same Deering possession, on 4th down, Kyle Johnson came up with a sack to keep Deering off the board and stall their momentum.

Bangor would go on to add another touchdown in the second half.
