Jockey Blaike McDougall will be in action at Gundagai on Sunday with his usual strong book of rides at a meeting that has attracted big fields.
McDougall has mounts in six of the seven races and starts the day when he is legged aboard the Gary Colvin-trained Carnival Girl in the Jack Lindley Memorial Country Boosted Maiden Plate (1000m).
Carnival Girl, a filly by Denman, is resuming from a spell, having had the one start at Canberra earlier in the year when last in a seven-horse field behind Steel Knight.
The Donna Scott prepared Kickstart will be McDougall’s ride in the Thank You Peter Elliott Super Maiden Handicap (1180m).
Kickstart was formerly prepared by Robert and Luke Price and debuted for Scott when a last-start second at Albury last month, when McDougall was also in the saddle
