KETTLE FALLS, Wash. – A community meeting was held at Kettle Falls High School to discuss the Crown Creek, Blackhawk Mountain and Katy Creek fires. Firefighters were present to answer questions and provide the latest updates.

More than 600 personnel are actively working on these three fires. Together, they have burned nearly 16,000 acres across Stevens and Ferry counties.

The fires are contributing to the smoky air affecting the Spokane area, as all three remain 0% contained. Crews are working tirelessly to establish new fire lines and manage spot fires.
