A small earthquake was recorded in southeast Missouri Friday night.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey at the University of Memphis, the quake, which measured 2.8 on the Richter Scale, occurred at 8:37 pm, and was centered three miles southwest of Puxico, and 34 miles west of Sikeston.
Humans are usually able to feel earthquakes that measure at least 2.5.
While no damage has been reported from this earthquake, as of 2:30 am Saturday morning, the USGS had received 41 reports of it being felt.
