TWIN FALLS — A local man already in custody for sex crimes on charges involving two females is facing additional counts of rape involving yet another individual.
Matthew Samuel Brooks, 30, of Twin Falls, made an initial appearance Thursday in the third case filed after a woman came forward to law enforcement, saying she was raped multiple times in December at his apartment.
“I will be going to trial on all the cases,” Brooks told Magistrate Judge Jennifer Bergin.
Bonds totalling $600,000 have piled up in the three cases, the last case adding $100,000 to that number, records say, but because Brooks is also on a probation hold due to suspected probation violations, he will remain in custody for the foreseeable future even if he were able to pay the bond amounts, deputy prosecutor Jill Swe
