After all the hand-wringing following its opening loss to Ohio State , No. 7 Texas moves on to an easier bar, a winless San Jose State team at Darrell K. Royal Memorial Stadium.

After a shaky start to the season, Arch Manning is expected to get matters sorted out against a Spartan team that went 7-6 last year and opened this season with a 16-14 home loss to Central Michigan.

Texas is an overwhelming favorite, and Manning is not expected to be on the field in the fourth quarter when the Longhorns are supposed to have pulled away. All of that supposes Texas doesn't get caught looking ahead to next week's opponent, UTEP.
