Davina McCall tearfully says 'if I don’t make it' as she shares 'dark' reason for TV move

After being told that the cyst on her brain would require immediate – and quite possibly life-endangering – surgery, Davina McCall made the decision to record what could have been been her final television appearance.

Davina, busy presenting the BBC's The Masked Singer at the time, was diagnosed with a colloid cyst in November 2024. It's a rare condition, making up a little over one hundred of all diagnosed brain tumours, and, if left untreated, the slow-growing tumour near the centre of the brain can prove fatal.
