Scattered showers/sprinkles this afternoon

Chilly overnight temperatures in the low 40s

Warming trend through the week

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Light showers are moving through central and east-central Wisconsin early this morning and may briefly clip far northern counties in our viewing area before moving out around sunrise. Some clouds may linger through the morning. Otherwise, cool temperatures continue today, with highs in the low 60s throughout southern Wisconsin. A shortwave trough will drop down into the region this afternoon, bringing with it chances of scattered showers and sprinkles. These showers will be driven by daytime heating and will therefore quickly taper off after sunset. Rainfall totals, where showers occur, will generally be light around a tenth of an inch or less.
