Evan Cotter had 10 rushes for 125 yards and two touchdowns, including a 53-yard run in the first quarter to open the scoring, and a 37-yard run in the second quarter to help give Newton a 48-0 win over Sussex Tech in Newton.

Nick Kurilko had 12 rushes for 118 yards and added a 35-yard touchdown run in the second quarter for Newton (1-0).
