A tangled court battle that stranded a 2019 Dodge Ram between Harrisburg’s former tow contractor and a bank has ended in a settlement.
SP Plus, a company which manages parking in Harrisburg, agreed to pay $12,500 to Santander Bank to settle remaining claims in the convoluted lawsuit. In it, Santander Bank challenged Harrisburg’s practices of towing vehicles and collecting payments from their owners .
In this case, the bank had placed a lien on the vehicle because the person leasing it defaulted on their payments, the bank said in its original lawsuit.
