Most of a town centre is covered by a 48-hour police dispersal order. The move applies to all of the vast majority of the centre of Warrington and has been implemented following multiple reports of anti-social behaviour.

It came into force at 4pm on Friday (September 5) and will remain in place until 2pm on Sunday (September 7). It applies to the entire area within a boundary displayed in a map issued by police.

The order gives a officers and PCSO the power to remove individuals aged 10 or over 'engaging, or likely to engage in anti-social behaviour or crime and disorder'.

If they return, they face further action. Cops will be patrolling amid an increased police presence.
