LIBERTY TWP., Mercer Co., Pa. - A Mercer County man was seriously injured after being struck by a car driven by an allegedly impaired driver with a suspended license on Friday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Police say 27-year-old Tristan Galarza, of Slippery Rock, was driving south on N. Liberty Road in a 2003 Toyota Corolla when he left the road and struck a 62-year-old man who was working in a culvert. The crash happened at about 9 a.m. in Liberty Township.
The victim sustained several serious injuries, including a compound fracture in his right leg, multiple broken ribs, and multiple skull fractures, according to police. He was flown to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown for treatment.
