Calgary Stampeders quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. is sacked by Edmonton Elks' Noah Taylor in Edmonton on Saturday.

Justin Rankin rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns as the Edmonton Elks gained some revenge on their provincial rivals, avenging last week’s 28-7 loss in the Labour Day Classic with a stunning 31-19 victory over the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday.

The Elks (5-7) kept their CFL playoff hopes alive, winning four of their last five.

Calgary (second in the West at 8-4) had a three-game winning streak halted.
