Community members, including Anglican priests, have rallied around an Islamic school in Brisbane’s south after a bomb threat forced students and staff members to evacuate last week.
The Islamic College of Brisbane, on the city’s southern edge in Karawatha, received an email on Friday morning with threats to bomb the school and harm students.
Islamic College of Brisbane chief executive Ali Kadri said the message, laden with Islamophobic and homophobic slurs, was sent from a University of Queensland email address that police told him had been hacked.
