RIB LAKE, Wis. (WSAW) - On Saturday, U.S. Army Air Forces Pfc. Lee I. Clendenning, of Spirit, Wisconsin, was laid to rest.
The funeral service for Pfc. Clendenning, who had connections to the area, was held at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake, Wisconsin. Pfc. Clendenning’s remains arrived at the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport, and were escorted by police to the cemetery.
Price and Taylor County area veterans organizations were invited to attend the event in uniform with their post colors.
Pfc. Clendenning, 23, was killed in World War II, reportedly during the attack on Pearl Harbor.
