Fast-acting neighbours are being credited with saving lives after a fire broke out in a Catherine Street apartment in Pembroke on the morning of September 4. Article content

The Pembroke Fire Department (PFD) was called to the scene at around 9:46 a.m. after smoke was spotted coming from a second-floor unit. Firefighters arrived with one truck and a duty crew, finding smoke visible from the apartment. Crews entered the unit and were able to put out the fire quickly. Article content
