A man in his 30s has been shot after police arrived at a house fire in Brisbane’s east.
Emergency services arrived shortly after 9.15am on Tuesday morning to reports of a structure fire on Cabanda Street, in Wynnum West.
A man has suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The Fire Department said crews waited for police to secure the scene, during which a man in his 30s was shot.
Paramedics treated the man for a life-threatening gunshot wound to his abdomen, and transported him to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Fire crews had the blaze under control by about 9.45am and it was extinguished 15 minutes later.
Queensland Police said officers were preparing a statement.
