A wheelchair user says he has been left “frightened” and “wary” after a suspected spiking in a town centre pub caused him to go into cardiac arrest.
Richard Towner, who is 59, woke up to strangers performing CPR on him after he was found collapsed in the street.
On the evening of Friday, August 22, he had been having drinks with three of his friends at the Muggleton Inn, a Wetherspoon pub, in Maidstone High Street.
Richard, better known as Ricky, says the last memory he has was going up to the bar to get his third and final drink at around 11.30pm.
As he did so, he recalled a couple approached him and the woman, who claimed she knew him, asked for a hug.
