Frustrated residents have questioned whether the stench from a nearby sewage works will ever be resolved after another summer blighted by the smell.
Some living on Ashford’s Little Burton estate say they have been plagued by foul odours for more than two decades, ever since the development was first built.
The problem stems from Southern Water’s nearby Ashford Wastewater Treatment Works in Kinney’s Lane, which has once again been forced to apologise for the “impact of odour issues”.
Those taking issue with the circumstances insist the smell returns every summer, and often lingers in warmer weather.
