Cowboy boots have been dusted off and cowboy hats pulled off the rack for Country Music Week in Kelowna.
The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) has brought the best in Canadian country music for a week of festivities capped off with the CCMA Awards being held Saturday, Sept. 13.
The week started with a community pancake breakfast in the 300 block of Bernard Avenue on Sept. 9.
At 9 a.m., community members were welcomed with drumming and a grand entrance style dance by members of Westbank First Nation.
Kelowna Mayor Tom Dyas then took the mic to express how proud he is to have Country Music Week in the city.
