The driver involved in a suspected DUI crash in Napa County over the weekend is charged with six counts of murder, the Napa County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.

Six men killed in the wine country crash were farmworkers on their way to harvest grapes for local wineries, the victims’ families told NBC Bay Area.

Several families spoke to NBC Bay Area on Tuesday as they arrived to the Napa County Coroner’s Office to identify victims. While families provided victim names to NBC Bay Area, the Napa Sheriff Department declined to confirm any of the victims from the crash.

“It is really heartbreaking news knowing he didn’t make it to work and he didn’t make it back home,” said Jasmine Ricardo, a daughter of one of the victims.
