Axed MasterChef host Gregg Wallace is launching legal action against the BBC. The presenter has reportedly filed a lawsuit in the High Court, alleging a data protection breach by the broadcaster. ‌

This comes following his recent dismissal from MasterChef after an investigation into allegations of misconduct upheld 40 claims against him. The 60-year-old greengrocer had fronted the show for 21 years alongside John Torode before the hosting pair were sacked over inappropriate behaviour. ‌

An investigation into Wallace's behaviour, carried out earlier this year by production company Banijay UK , found that 45 of the 83 allegations made against him were substantiated, the Mirror reports. ‌
