NETHER PROVIDENCE — Something still nags at the Strath Haven girls soccer team, a little extra motivation to push even higher this fall.

Ruby Lane and Clara Davis were key pieces of last year’s magical run that delivered the Panthers the PIAA Class 3A championship, the first state title in program history. But for the two seniors, there are still a couple of boxes left unchecked.

The 2024 squad didn’t win the Central League and fell short in the District 1 final. None of that mattered once they lifted the state trophy, with now-junior Ava Hurwitz’s tallying the only goal against Lower Dauphin at Cumberland Valley High School.

This season, though, Haven wants the trifecta. And Tuesday’s 4-1 victory over Penncrest was another step in that direction, the club’s second straight win over a C
