An Odessa man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a shooting that took place last December.

According to an Odessa Police Department report, on Sept. 2 a detective was assigned to investigate a shooting that took place around 10 p.m. Dec. 15 near East Maple Avenue and Tanglewood Lane.

The detective met with a 37-year-old woman who told him that on that night she’d gone out for drinks when her former husband, Ruben Ronquillo Ramirez Jr., 38, began chasing her and a companion throughout the streets of Odessa, the report stated.

The woman said Ramirez shot at them once, too, the report stated.
