BRAINERD — New uniforms equaled a new look Brainerd Warriors.
Brainerd scored two goals in the first half and three in the second half to earn a 5-0 Central Lakes Conference victory over the Detroit Lakes Lakers Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Adamson Field. It’s the Warriors’ first win of the season.
“The day started with a win because we got our new jerseys,” Warriors’ head coach Nick Weeks said. “New jersey, new season, new win. It’s the first win of the season and it feels really good. We had such a tough schedule that to get these wins, you have to celebrate. It’s just fun to win.”
