EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry took to city council to deliver her proposed 2026 budget, which outlined a $140 million dollar general fund plan and notably does not include any income tax increases.
"People want to see us take care of the basics," Mayor Terry said. "They want use to get our roads in better working conditions. They want us to continue to support public safety and we're going to continue to to that."
Mayor Terry says her team aims to prioritize items like strong public safety, neighborhood revitalization, infrastructure, accessible housing and efficient government services. Her opening statements had more to showcase than presenting the budget.
