BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Southern head coach Terrence Graves announced a big change is coming to the Jags’ offense.
Quarterbacks coach Fred McNair will now serve as co-offensive coordinator and will call plays moving forward. Mark Frederick will still be involved in the offense in some capacity.
The move comes after a disappointing 7-point performance against Alabama State at home and seven turnovers in just three games. McNair was the easy choice to help give Southern’s offense a spark, as he won two SWAC titles as Alcorn State’s head coach and has over 20 years of coaching experience.
