Neighbours woke to a woman’s screams after she was run down by her own BMW in an Ascot home invasion early on Wednesday.
Security cameras captured the thieves scoping out the property on Hopetoun Street, driving past in a hatchback, before returning.
The footage then shows one offender wearing black gloves getting out of the car and walking to the front gate.
The thieves broke louvres to get into the house shortly before 5am and stole the black BMW X3 from the garage.
Dogs at the residence alerted the home’s occupants to the intruders, who they confronted in the garage as they were about to leave with the car, neighbours said.
A 34-year-old woman tried to stop them from driving away, but she was struck by the BMW as the thieves sped off.
