EASLEY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The City of Easley’s newest development regulations passed the first hurdle toward final approval with a split vote at Monday night’s City Council meeting.
The first reading of the city’s proposed Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) comes after multiple public input sessions and council meetings on how best to monitor future developments while still preserving Easley’s land and small-town feel.
Two City Council members voted against the UDO, including Councilwoman Donna Rainey.
Rainey voiced her concerns during a workshop prior to the meeting, questioning the speed of the UDO’s passage.
