Fremantle ball magnet Caleb Serong says he felt “numb” after they were bundled out of the premiership race in a heartbreaking elimination final defeat to Gold Coast.
The Dockers were upset in a thriller at Optus Stadium on Saturday night, with Suns veteran David Swallow kicking the winning point in the dying seconds of the match.
It means Serong and his teammates will now watch the rest of September action from the sidelines, having been the hot favourites to beat Gold Coast heading into the game.
“I am feeling OK. It’s been a rough couple of days. I probably haven’t had a chance to reflect on the season as such yet as the emotions are still really high, but going OK,” Serong told Triple M.
“We caught up together on Saturday night just to get around each other because everyone was real
