Liberal Senator for the Northern Territory Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has again refused to apologise for comments she made about Indian migrants and failed to express if she had confidence in Sussan Ley’s leadership.

The explosive saga first began when Ms Price suggested that there were “concerns" about Indian migrants and their voting patterns and that the Labor Party “likes to allow those (people) in … who ultimately vote for them.”

Despite later describing her remarks as a “mistake”, the issue escalated when Ms Price accused her colleague Liberal MP Alex Hawke of berating her staff and ordering her to apologise - claims Mr Hawke has vehemently denied.

Amid the fallout Liberal Party politicians have openly lined up behind either Mr Hawke or Ms Price, with Shadow Attorney-General Julian
