Liberal Senator Jacinta Price has said comments she made about Indian Australians were "clumsy" but refused to apologise.
Price was forced to walk back her "incorrect" statement that the federal government was allowing more migrants in from India to skew votes towards Labor last week.
But her refusal to apologise has spurred infighting — as her colleagues and the prime minister call on her to say sorry — while Liberal MP Julian Leeser has publicly apologised on her behalf.
