EAST RUTHERFORD - Andrew Thomas' absence in the New York Giants ' season-opening loss to the Washington Commanders was noticeable, to say the least.

The star left tackle could be in line to return Sunday afternoon against another NFC East rival in the Dallas Cowboys.

Thomas missed the entire preseason due to his recovery from offseason foot surgery, only returning to practice two weeks ago. He suffered a Lisfranc fracture against the Cincinnati Bengals last October and played in just six games before undergoing a procedure to repair the injury. He began training camp on the physically unable to perform [PUP] list, but was activated. Buy New York Giants tickets on StubHub
