Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. created a movement by pointing out what he saw as America’s broken approach to health. “Make America Healthy Again” earned him his job in the Trump administration, where he has the chance to turn words into action.
Kennedy has made many promises, outlined many visions, and declared many things “poison.” Some promises, like getting artificial food dyes out of the grocery store, are well underway. His vow to announce a root cause of autism spectrum disorder by September is also coming along, according to Kennedy. But other ambitions have lagged behind or fallen away.
One year into the life of MAHA , even with all the power of the health secretary’s office, Kennedy is still figuring out how realistic his plans are.
