A man who was caught with almost £200,000 worth of cannabis at Glasgow Airport has been jailed.

Go Kah Wei was snared in Paisley with a suitcase containing 19.8kg of the Class-B drug in November last year.

Border Force officials stopped the 32-year-old when landing at the airport after he claimed to only have one small piece of hand luggage, the Paisley Daily Express reports.

The procurator fiscal told Paisley Sheriff Court: “Around 1.30pm on November 11, 2024, the accused was stopped by Border Force officials at immigration control for international arrivals, having arrived at Glasgow Airport on an Emirates flight from Dubai with his travel originating in Bangkok.
