High school football fans in Rhode Island might want to circle Friday, Oct. 3 on their calendars. That's when Division I powers North Kingstown and Central meet on the field to write the next chapter in their rivalry.

But before they clash on the gridiron, they'll meet in the final round of The Providence Journal's high school football uniform contest. The Knights and the Skippers are the final two teams remaining in our weeks-long contest. Last week, North Kingstown beat Cumberland by taking 81% of the more than 3,500 votes cast in their contest, while Central edged South Kingstown in a squeaker – 51% to 49%, with 370 votes cast.
