Kilmarnock have confirmed that they will switch from artificial to grass at Rugby Park next season when new rules come into force.

Fans of the Ayrshire club are being offered the chance to “pitch in” towards the new playing surface by owning their own “virtual plot”.

In a vote held last year, top-flight clubs voted to ban plastic pitches from the start of the 2026/27 campaign.

There are currently three Premiership sides – Kilmarnock, Livingston, and Falkirk – playing on artificial surfaces.

The SPFL confirmed in August that Falkirk had been granted a “one-off additional period of grace”, meaning they can continue on their current pitch for a year after the ban comes in.
