FORDHAM, The Bronx (WABC) -- Despite recent polls show Zohran Mamdani outpacing the other candidates in the race for New York City mayor, his rivals say they aren't going anywhere.
Mamdani spoke out Wednesday for the first time after a new poll by The New York Times and Sienna College showed he has a commanding 22-point lead.
But for his competitors, no one is showing any signs of slowing down or backing down and they are campaigning to pick up every possible vote.
For former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, he believes it will come down to a two-person race, despite Mayor Eric Adams saying he will not his suspend his campaign.
For Mamdani, the poll has him out in front with 46% of likely voters to 24% for Cuomo and 15% for Republican Curtis Sliwa and just 9% for the incumbent, Adams.
