Two Cambridgeshire primary schools have hailed the start of an "exciting new chapter" by joining an education trust.

Crosshall Infant School and Crosshall Junior School in St Neots are both now part of the Meridian Trust.

It currently operates more than 30 primary, secondary and special schools across Cambridgeshire , Bedfordshire , Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire , supporting more than 18,000 pupils.

The Trust says the schools will "benefit from strengthened leadership links, access to a wide range of teaching and learning expertise, and additional training" along with development opportunities for staff.
