TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Today, the ex-boyfriend of murdered 18-year-old Kylee Monteiro is expected back in court.
Gregory Groom is charged with murdering Monteiro after prosecutors say he admitted to stabbing her to death and burying her in the woods behind his home.
Monteiro’s remains were found in Groom’s backyard off of County Street on August 19th according to police.
Monteiro was reported missing on August 7th.
Groom was ordered to be held without bail after his August 21 arraignment.
Today’s court date is a probable cause hearing.
