HOUSTON (KIAH)-- The Houston Independent School District is getting backlash again due to its ongoing HVAC system issues. Parents, Haley and Neil Robinson said that the air conditioning at their child's school at Crockett Elementary School went out after a power outage, but the district didn't release students.
The Robinsons said that it was disheartening to see that the district is not putting students first and listening to parent concerns.
I picked up my son yesterday around 10 a.m., and he was he was quite confused as to, you know, what is going on. He didn't go into school expecting that there was going to be power outages, problems with AC. But he came out and was very relieved. And the first thing he said to me was, oh, my gosh, it was so hot in there.
