YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)-- A driver died more than four months after their vehicle was struck by a police vehicle responding to a call.

The York County Coroner's Office announced that Patricia Weidner, 87, of York Township, passed away at the York South Nursing and Rehab, four and a half months after she was involved in a two-vehicle crash.

The coroner's office said on April 15, 2025, at 10 a.m., Weidner was reportedly operating a vehicle near the intersection of South Pleasant Avenue and Blymire Road in York Township when her vehicle was struck by a police vehicle driven by a state trooper on route to a call.

Weidner was taken to WellSpan York Hospital, where she was treated for two months before she was transferred to York South Nursing and Rehab, per the coroner's office.
