(KIMT) -- Patchy fog has developed for the Wednesday morning commute, especially along I-35. Visibilities are around 1/2 mile or less, resulting in a Dense Fog Advisory being issued for Freeborn, Steele, and Goodhue counties through 9 AM Wednesday.
Once the fog and clouds lift by the afternoon, a hazy mostly sunny sky will be present for the afternoon and evening due to lingering Canadian wildfire smoke.
Air quality impacts will remain minimal as most of this smoke will remain above the surface. Those who are extremely sensitive to less-than-good air quality should limit their time outdoors.
With the sun dominating the back half of our Hump Day, temperatures will be able to climb to the mid 70s.
Temperatures will continue to rise as high pressure builds into SE Minnesota and North Iowa
