Happy Wednesday, everyone! Yesterday, against the Detroit Tigers, Aaron Judge continued his efforts to take his place on the hallowed list of all-time Yankees’ greats. With his 359th career home run, he surpassed bona fide quote machine Yogi Berra to become the fifth-ranking player on the Yankees’ franchise home run list. Judge only needs three more home runs to surpass Joe DiMaggio for the fourth spot on the list, but it’s going to take a lot longer (if at all) before he has a chance to encroach on Lou Gehrig’s 493 home runs. (It’s safe to say that Judge is unlikely to touch Mickey Mantle or Babe Ruth, for good reason.)
We look at that milestione and much more in today’s links, so let’s get right into it. • The Red Sox are making an early prospect call-up, according to Steve Adams. •
