SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — An inmate at the Sevier County Jail died after a brief altercation between two inmates Tuesday morning, said Sevier County Director of Public Affairs and Communications Tyler Basler.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Sevier County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident, Basler said.
