Honor our ancestors, clean up Evergreen Cemetery

I have just learned about the shameful condition of the Evergreen Cemetery on Alameda . What is going on El Paso? Why are our families being ignored? Why the disarray and neglect? I don't care who owns the land, we can still clean up the weeds and honor our ancestors.

Have you all forgotten El Paso pioneers like John Mulligan and Mary Stanton? How about Mexican President Victoriano Huerto and Urbici Soler who carved the statue atop Mount Cristo Rey? Do you know many countries use cemetery as a park for walking and quiet reflection with benches for sitting and maybe eating lunch?

I'd like to call all civic organizations Lions, Kiwanis, Rotary, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars to rally and come together to honor the citizens buri
