Lloyds Bank has responded to one of their customers that was left surprised by their withdrawal limit.

They contacted the bank to ask how they could view and change the limit after they had been denied a request for £225 as "you reached the limit for today," as shown in a screengrab posted to social media.

Their confusion arose from the fact Lloyds' daily withdrawal limit for debit card holders is £800 a day at a cash machine, though you can withdraw any amount over the counter.

In response to the customer, a representative from Lloyds replied: "If you're looking to view or change your withdrawal limit, the best way to do this is by messaging us through the Lloyds Bank app.

"Just log in and send us a message - one of our colleagues will be happy to help you with this."
