In recent weeks, Gov. JB Pritzker (D-IL) and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson have denounced the idea of cooperating with armed troops and federal agents entering the city to crack down on crime. Bondi said their resistance is likely why the administration will prioritize a more receptive city.
