Apple first unveiled its brand-new operating system, iOS 26, back in June. Now, the exact release date for this update has been confirmed for compatible iPhones.

The US tech giant has just announced that iOS 26 will be available worldwide from 15 September 2025, meaning there are only a few days left to wait. While Apple never discloses a specific time, based on past releases, Express.co.uk anticipates it will become available in the settings menu around 6pm BST.

Once installed, iOS 26 introduces a host of new features and a revamped look called Liquid Glass. As the name implies, this gives everything a glossy appearance, as if you're looking through... well, glass.
